Ok....im not sure how to explain this but please bare with me.
Ok. The toolbar on the bottom of the screen with the start button looks normal until you open a new window.
The little tab pops up on the toolbar but instead of being on the left, its on the right next to the clock..
And only 1 tab shows up at a time and a little arrow thing pops up and have to scroll through to find the tab you want to open or minimize....
Im so confused please let me know if i need to try and clarify......

I fixed it.....
I just pressed and help the windows button.....................

Try right clicking on the "Task Bar". This will open the Task Bar properties box. Do a little looking around in it and I think that you will find what you want. One of the things that you want to uncheck is "Hide inactive icons".

right click your toolbar and click properties. try to adjust any settings from there. i know this sounds stupid, but have you tried rebooting?
