According to an article I read, the Packers didn't think that Moss was worth their 4th round pick. They were only willing to give up a 5th rounder to get him. So basically they just got outbid by the Patriots. Also, I hear that Moss has a lot of respect for the Patriots in a way that he doesn't respect other teams, so he is more likely to be a performer there. That was one of the big problems in Oakland; he didn't respect anyone in the Raiders' organization.

They are trying to build a team that can win now AND later. Moss is getting old so they would rather find a young WR who can stay around a while even after Favre is done. Plus you have to take into account Moss gets injured a lot, the salary they would have to pay him, and the draft pick they would have to give up. It seems like a good idea but Moss has not been good for a long time. Then with the stricter behavior rules in the NFL he would be a risk due to his track record.

well, nothing is new with favre willing to take a pay cut. he's done that numerous times throughout his career. i guess thompson just didnt want to take the risk on moss and wanted to stick with the young receiving corp. thompson doesnt believe in trades and free agency, he solely does his work on the draft. i'm upset about it too. i think moss would have made a great addition, but i see the negative side of him as well as he does give up a lot of times. so in actualality, it was a risk that thompson was not willing to make.

Ted Thompson is a dipshit, that is why. If he wants to build through the draft then he should start drafting good players. I bet that had Green Bay had the #1 pick last they would have taken Mario Williams. I'm actually still shocked that they drafted AJ Hawk because he is actually good. I've been a Packer fan my entire life but Ted Thompson is going to have me saying "Go Lions!" with one more dumbshit draft. I mean, the retard drafted a college linebacker to play fullback after forcing Luchey and Henderson walk away in consecutive seasons. If that is building from within maybe I should send in my resume for Quarterback.
Ted Thompson, if you are reading this I hope you resign before you run Green Bay into the ground. Oh wait...
BTW - my sources say Ryan Leaf is still a free agent, go get'em Ted

Because Ted and Co. are gutless. They have no balls to go out and take a chance on a guy who could help their franchise-and because their draft picks are just to precious. Yeah like they won't blow the draft next year too. It is so frusterating watching them say-"we are going to rebuild" then turn around and say "we want to win now" which is it? They are not making anyone happy and if they continue to be stagnant they will drop into the cellar and lose their jobs-which will help the franchise in the end. Maybe they will get Keyshawn-that would be better than nothing and the guys they drew out of a hat.

They may have, but Randy Moss wants to win a superbowl and New England has as good a chance as anyone, he wanted to go to NE over Green Bay, which is bad for me as a Dolphin Fan.

cause he mooned the packers while a viking.
they just know better, too big a risk with all that hate for him. If the packers would lose a few, it would all be on him, and his laziness when they are looseing..
