You know if your still in love with them by the first time they hurt you.

If you let them hurt you first time, you take them back obviously because you love them.. and if they hurt you again ... you stay with them again... yeh again it means you love them.. !! you just know really by staying with them!!

Does that make any sense??

A bit of advice,

If they keep hurting you over and over again though, and its hurting you so much you feel less in love with them, you need to stop them from hurting you, if you dont they'll carry on then its time to move on .. :) i've had a bad experience so i know...

Hello my friend,

I am a retired pensioner and live on a small farm in country Australia. I have learnt a few lessons along the road of life and am interested in your question. It is a fact of life that people hurt each other sometimes. The solution to this is talking it out together. I have always thought that successful relationships are founded on how well you both solve your differences. Try and think about why this person is hurting you and also ask yourself what is it that you may have done to cause it. There is definitely a reason for this behaviour, find out what it is and be considerate of the other persons point of view. If you love someone that is not enough. They must love you also. Are you being a person worthy of love? Have you been thoughtful, kind and considerate of the person hurting you? I feel that the answer may be in the way you have acted. Think carefully about your own words and actions. I hope this is of help to you - Grandpa

Well first of all, the key here is to replace thoughts of them with something good. I see someone is still thinking about them or you wouldn't be asking this question.
I wouldn't advise you or anyone to go back for more. "Enter at your own risk". If they hurt me I would be very skeptical. It doesn't matter if I thought I loved them or not. You need to get to a place where the important thing is; "how do they make you feel and how are you treated".
I wouldn't go changing to try to make somebody like me. I would be my self. This can put you in a better and more comfortable position. In this position you may find someone with interests closely to your own.

Love is not something you can turn on and off, if you love someone and they hurt you if you are really in love then no matter what, your feelings wont change. You will be hurt and feel betrayed but if its true love then you will still feel the same way you did before.
