That was a stupid thing to do. I hope you have figured that out by now. Tires aren't cheap as you have found out, or are about to find out.

Glass can pop a tire, and it may have. I would want to see the tire and the damage it has done. It should be repairable, but the guy doesn't want to go that route with you.

When you see the other tires, take a look at the tread on them and see if they are new looking or has all the tread been worn off. That way maybe you can talk the guy into only giving him half the cost of the tire.

Don't give the guy cash either. Have him show you the bill for the new tire and pay what ever part you feel you owe. either that or just deny it, and say it wasn't you that threw the bottle, if you can get away with it. good luck.

Yeah sadly it can i was going through some bushes and got a thorn in my tire but it should be fixable unless the puncture is on the edge or he drove on it flat for a long time... good luck

I would tell him prove I threw a bottle out and prove that bottle poped your tire. as he cant do it. if he comes out to your scholl call the cops and tell them he is harrassing you and they will take him away. proof is on him not you. sounds like he just looking for new tires. dont give in.
