I met this guy at work and we have been forming a friendship that has become a strong attraction to each other. We have fooled around a little but no intercourse. The problem is...I think I might have looked to eager to get together with him again and, for the first time, he ignored me most of the day. I am sooo embarrassed. I still have to work with him almost everyday. How do I recover from this?! I am so dumb!!! How do I get back to before? I am so embarrassed I feel sick to my stomach. This is after I told him I thought I could handle it. Dumb....Dumb...Dumb...We have to work together again tomorrow. Any suggestions? Please no mean comments...Trust me...I am beating the crap out of myself..Thanks

Stop. Stop beating yourself up. You genuinely like this guy, and now he knows it.

You said it was a strong attraction. If he does (or doesn't) feel the same way, he may need some time to sort this out. Play it on the downlow, and if you feel that it doesn't get any better, after a few days, then you can approach him and speak your mind. Remember that he's different from you, maybe he deals with this stuff differently or wants something else out of it.

At work, be nice and polite, but maybe nothing more for a while. Just hold in there, and good luck :]

the 1st rule of the work placeis, NEVER, EVER date someone u work with.
Ur best bet is to act as if nothing important happened and just b urself. You may have blown it but DO NOT let him know under any circumstances because then he'll know how to get under ur skin and really embarass u. Just hold ur head up and go about ur business like u did b4 u made this mistake.

yeah thats definatley a tricky one, maybe hes feels the same and is just shy, but if hes intentionally ignoring you, just only speak to him when its work related and try to be "the bigger person" and try not to let him get to you...i know its hard, ive been there....i have been romanticlly ivolved with someone i worked with and yeah after you stop being together and still have to work together its very hard, i know its corny but its true that time heals all wounds...hope this helps

You aren't so dumb. Just try to talk to him about what you would like for you two to be. If there's another woman in his life, back off the cuddles.
