Go to www.gamefaqs.com. It will tell you everything you need to know about which pokemon are available in Pearl that aren't available in Diamond and vice versa.

you can see all the pokemon in the sinnoh dex without buying a pearl but the pokemon you cant catch are skunktanks and etc
