I think you should take whatever language you are most interested in. Spanish and French are both evolved from Latin. I take Spanish, and I am always finding cognates between Spanish and English that help in both languages. For example, information in Spanish is informacion.

Don't take a language just because it will help you on a test. Take it because it truly interests you. If you really enjoy the language, you will get so much more out of it than if you are just taking it to do well on the SAT, and that will help you in the end.

Hope this helps!

I studied, talk and train each Spanish and French. I taught very younger secondary institution boys (eleven years historical) who studied each Spanish and French in combination. That used to be the curriculum in our institution procedure. And so, I would not hesitate to suggest each directly. Both languages have many elements (primarily grammar and idioms) in ordinary, and if academics are good proficient and effectively grounded in overseas language guideline ways, they may be able to emphasize the ones connections. In that means, they are going to make studying less difficult and exceptional a laugh for the scholars. But If I needed to decide upon one earlier than the opposite, I'd do Spanish first, as it's the less difficult of the 2, primarily in pronunciation. it's not actual to mention that the 2 languages are not anything alike. They each derive from Latin/Romance roots and keep many ordinary vocabulary phrases (mainly with handiest moderate alterations in inflections).

Since they're both romance languages, they'll probably help about equally. I don't think that Japanese will help at all. But you should take the language that most interests you!

If you're worried about the SAT, you could maybe purchase some flashcards, and also study the meanings of different roots. Don't depend entirely on your foreign language classes.

Spanish will be the most helpfull in the long-run.

French and Japanese, well, look at how little of the world speaks those as a first language.
