The best treatment is this:cover it with a wet cloth and KEEP IT WET CONTINUOUSLY for eight or ten hours.
It works because most of the capillars in the skin after a burn are not closed ( as they usually are); they open up to let white cells through and let heat escape. As capillaries aren't designed to be all the way open all the the way open all the time and they rupture under the strain, killing skin and causing pain.So the thing to do is taking away the heat giving the capillars relax and preventing rupture as rupturing causes pain and peeling.
. Most people get burns, blisters and peeling because they don't realize that most of the damage is occurring below the threshold of pain. When they first get a burn, they hold it under cold water until it stops hurting, and then put it under again every time it starts to hurt. But lots of damage takes place before it's intense enough to feel it, so what you have to do is cover it with a wet cloth and keep that cloth wet for eight or ten hours.
This is the remedy that really works.

Hi "pope1882", yes, the egg white helps a burn skin keep the wound from drying out. Lavender oil takes the sting out of the pain, speeds up the healing process and prevents scarring.
You can clean the burn with mild soap and water, combine lavender oil with almond or olive oil in the ratio of 1:3. Apply this mixture liberally over the burn at least 3 times a day.
Also, a very good for burn skin:
Aloe Vera shortens the healing process. Two or three days after the burn, simply open a leaf and smear its liquid directly on the burn, the coolness of its "juice" brings welcome relief from the pain. Reapply four to six times daily.
Honey applied over burns cools, removes pain and aids fast healing.
Calendula, an antiseptic & anti-inflammatory, which is applied topically to speed healing and prevent infection.
For minor burns, rub some mustard on the burned area. Despite stinging, it takes the pain away and reduces blisters and scarring.

NO. Oil holds in heat and can cause the burn to go deeper.
I don't see how eggs would help at all.
Aloe Vera gel is very soothing. I place a cloth soaked in ice water with vinegar over the burn area, and re-wet it when it gets warm to the touch. That solution is great for drawing out the heat.

no don't put food on it. The original idea behind that was to form a barrier between the air and the burn because your skin is gone but if the food is not sterille (never really is) then it just rubs bacteria into it making things worse. Cool water and a medical dressing with a sterille bandage is the way to go.

Aloe is best for burn. And some cool water running over it. Whatever you do don't use vinegar for a sunburn! Will feel good till you take the sunburnt spot out of the vinager and your skin draws up and tightens..I promise it doesn't feel good. Hope this helps!

Just cool water. Oil will actually make the burn worse. Eggs on broken skin can cause infection.
