Yes, it's fine. Like any other activity you do while pregnant, you simply have to be aware of your belly and use caution.
A woman on my triathlon team swam in the lake with us twice a week until she was 8 months along, then her belly started dragging in the shallows so she stopped. She stayed in shape and the baby is just awesome, we think he's gonna be a swimmer! ; )
As long as you are aware of your surroundings you have no more risk swimming in a lake than the average person doing so. Good luck with the baby!!!

I did with both my children. Now all grown up. I'm sure my mom did too since I was the first child and born in July. Plus, something to think about, what about not knowing you're pregnant and going swimming. I'm sure that happens ALL the time!

Its ok to swim anywhere! The fetus is contained and no harm will come to the baby. Have you ever been to the coast? Everybody swims in the ocean and no harm, excuse me, but I have to ask...is this a legit question?

as a pharmacist ,no because water of a lake is not clean and antiseptic it may be harmfull for your fetus but swimming in a swimming pool yes because water make your weight less and u feel restness which is very use ful for fetus.
