You need to fufill three certain crieteria to get the rainbow pass:
+Capture/register 60 Pokemon in your pokedex
+Go to islands 1-3, complete the missions, rescue Celios daughter and talk to him
+Defeat the Elite 4
Upon beating the Elite 4, head to professor Oak and he'll give you the ticket to island 4-7 along with the national dex.

Well, in emerald the pokemon move, but firered and leafgreen have pretty rare pokemon compared to other games. LG and FR also give you a taste of older games. E provides johto starters, which cannot be obtained in any other modern poke game. E has rayquaza (i hate dragons) and FR and LG has Mewtwo (YEAH!) so think carefully

you have to get the ruby gem and the sapphire gem on mt ember (ruby) and ? for sapphire.
