Everything from the beginning of the prom was CRAP. After the first 10 minutes, me and my date got bored. Our meals were bad. My sirolin was a little too pink to eat and my date thought the food was a step from gourmet microwaveable food.
So, anways, we thought the dance might cheer us up. Unfortunately all they ever played was crackhouse rap music with belligerent "HEEEEY" "WOOOAH" "TO ALL YOU LADIES" "BOOOO" and in between we'd hoped the DJ would play our pre-requested rock song. We tried dancing but it was forced. Nothing worked out. After 3 hours of debating and going in and out, my date was PISSED. She knocked over chairs. I went to DJ and pleaded to him to play some rock music, after all we'd paid 80 bucks for a prom night. He said he would. He lied. He later admitted that he never carried any rock albums.

no, i went to 4 & they were all CRAP...if i had it to do over again, i never would have gone to any of them!!! lots of wasted time & money...very boring!!!

Mine was a REALLY long time ago (1990), but I remember it well. My date was a guy I had grown up with my entire life. A couple of years after we graduated from school he committed suicide. I am glad I have the memories of our prom because we had a great time.
I'm sorry you had such a horrible experience. The prom is supposed to be fun.

My prom was so stuffed up ! all the jocks were drunk with all the stuck up blonde girls .I got so bored i left with my date and we went to a rock concert! it was awesome ( the concert)
p.s How dare that Dj not play rock music !thats the best style of music =)

THAT'S WHY I DID NOT GO TO PROM!!! I have always thought that prom was a huge waste of money. And now my friend, you've just proved my theory. I've never been and now I'm really not going...EVER!!
sorry about your time though and if you plan on going next year or whatever, hope your time is much better.

Guess what all proms are like that, crappy music, crappy food, getting stuck with a bunch of people that you want to do a Carrie impersonation on, probably the reason I didn't go and waste my money on it.

My prom 1999 sucked, convent school, filled with rules .I didn't go so I went somewhere else to party somewhere better.

NO! I was not very popular,I was treated badly because I was in Learning Disabilities.Everyone looked at me like I didn't belong there.

No my date acted like she didn't know me when we were dancing and I saw her freak dancing with another guy. I still managed to dance with some other girls but I was still unhappy.
