At the risk of sounding like a flake, I believe Ouija boards, as a vehicle to speak to the beyond, can be scarey, harmful, dangerous and not as often, helpful.

Yes, I experimented with them, mostly in college, with friends.

I stopped. We did have results and they were, for sure, real. Whether somebody whose fingers were on the Ouija controlled it or not, I can't say for sure. But then, when personal information about me came up when this person could not possibly know, I offer no explanation.

I stopped. It was too disturbing, and I was not ready to press on into that world.

Be safe.

Oujia boards are not dangerous. There are many stories about it.People use it in different ways.
1] write all 26 alphabets and 10 [0 to 9 ]numerals facing the center of the paper and [along on all the 4 sides of the paper ]and put a coin at center. This is the board. One or two Medium -persons who can move the coin from center and indicates words throw such moves- would sit and talk with spirits .
It is a real experience. The correctness depends on their belief.

They are not "toys." When you use one, you are inviting any type of spirit to come through. You have no control over what comes through unless you are a well-practiced magician and have prepared appropriately (grounding ritual, circle, protection).

As a child, I used to play with one. I used a blue marble instead of the planchette. I would feel a pressure pushing down one end of the board or other. In my heart, I knew a spirit was controlling the marble to spell out words and sentences, but I tried to convince myself that my arm was tired. One day, something ripped the board out of my hand and I knew, for certain, that I had a visitor.

My daughter and a friend were using a Ouija Board. It was sitting on a level surface and the planchette skidded across the board on its own.

A simple OuiJa board can be made with slips of paper with letters on them and numbers if you wish, as well a two slips that say Yes and No. Arrange them in a circle on a smooth surface. Place an upside down glass in the middle of the circle and have those who wish to participate place a forefinger on the edge of the glasses bottom. Ask a question.

Remember, the glass and the slips have no power. Your hidden thoughts, needs, and sometimes devinations will start the glass moving for good or evil.

Ouija Boards (as well as other Talking Boards) are not dangerous. They are simply tools of divination to receive answers from The Divine through your Higher Self.

You use one by sitting with another individual (ideal of the opposie gender) knees to knees with the board on your laps. You both lightly touch the planchette with your finger tips. You then vocalize a question and both parties should concentrate on that question. All present must take this event with all seriousness otherwise it won't work. (Just as any other form of magick won't work if the intention is not there.) You should move the planchette lightly in a figure eight over the board and when you feel the desire to stop you should. Take note of the letters that the pointer stops on ... you should then have the answer to your question revealed to you.

I own a Ouija Board but have yet to use it. I have used other forms of divination (Tarot Cards, I-Ching and Runes) with great success.

Some believe that a spirit is possesing your hand and is making your hand move to different spots. But it has been scientifically proven that it does not work. The mind controls sub-concious movements, such as the reflex nerve, the heart, the lung, etc. When you aree on the ouija board the mind wants to see somethign happens and so sub-conciouslly moves your mucles to make your arm go to different letters. Try doing a ouija board blind folded and alone and haev a friend write down the letters. Most liklely the letters won't make sense.

I sure do have some extraordinary stories. I do not like to repeat my answers. I have two very frightening and lengthy stories. Search my profile of previously answered ouija board questions and you will hear more that you will bargain for...I am telling you ~ there is no positive that comes from ths sinister "game".
You must be aware of how to use one and how to end "play" as well!

yes they r dangerous when used alone it's best to have at least 2 people and if and if 1 of them is easily intimidated don't use them. when i was about 15yrs old, my mom bought a ouija board and we started asking questions, well after i went 2 sleep that night my mom started asking questions alone, then she went to sleep, well later on that nite my grandmother saw my spirit guide on the edge of my bed and i was talking to him in dialect and when she went to wake up my mom there was a dark figure standing over her with his hands around my moms throat she quickly turned on the light and rebuked the dark figure, but to this day if u take a picture of my mom he is always there. BE CAREFUL they are always looking for portholes to come thru and u might b 1!!!

They really aren't dangerous. My friends and I used to use one in junior high. Nothing really eventful ever happened other than my friends mom getting mad we were playing with one. You all lay your hands on the pointer, ask it a question and let it move. It's supposed to be controlled by spirits. It just depends on what you belive.

You know I don't know, but I have never had a desire to play with them because I was told as a child these types of things leave a person open to demonic influence.
