While I like Sammy Hagar, both solo and with Van Halen... I would say most of Van Halen's best songs are with David Lee Roth on lead pipes.

I actually liked Van Halen better when Sammy Hagar was lead singer...much more mature sound.

I like both, but I saw Van Hagar a few years ago and was disappointed. Way too much new Sammy,not enough anything else, hardley played any classics.
The first song I ever knew the words to was Jump. My mom has pics of me in my diaper standing on the dresser dancing to it. Dangerous in retrospect...

van halen. nobody will ever beat David lee Roth. he was the **** back then. everybody went to the concert to see him. the Hagar came in and started singing about love and relationships. what the hell. what happened to hot teachers and simply telling people to jump
