ok started playing up last week, started off with the abs kicking in under very light braking happening twice. then couple of days later abs warning light came on and stayed on and no abs brakes. anyhow abs doesnt come on at all and i havent any abs(my wheels lock up).

anyhow can anyone tell me cost i can expect to pay if say i need to get it rreplaced is it cheap. sorry not sure what conponents make up abs.

wheels locked up becuase i was testing to see if the abs was working. ergo abs not working

If your wheels are locking up, you have a serious problem that needs to be looked at by a pro.

Or you need to plan your stops a little better. Instead of waiting until the very last minute to stop.

you need to get the abs control unit checked for faults. if its just a wheel speed sensor it could be quite cheap to repair. if it is the abs unit itself you could be looking at a very expensive repair bill.your brakes should still work as you will still have the conventional braking system to rely on

You need to get a code read out from your diagnostic port.You may have a sensor thats faulty.
