Yes, they have...stretch marks and beyond. They've taught me patience, kept my sense of humor alive, supported me when "we" were going through a divorce (because a family gets divorced, not just two people), made me prouder than I've ever been and for the first time in my life...especially when they were little...was entirely blown away by the unconditional love they had for me. I consider raising them the most important thing I've done in my life. So, yeah, they've definitley left their mark. Including those crayons on my walls!

I am raising my Grandchildren. That is an indelible mark that I can never erase. I was present at the birth of the first and it was almost more miraculous than my own daughter's birth. I wept and she forever captured my heart. Now, I am raising this self same child and I have no regrets that I have been chosen to be the guardian to both her and her adorable brother.

I was present near my wife in the clinic for the birth of my 3 children.
Her gynaecologist , a friend of us , gave me the scissors and asked me to cut the umbilical cordon which i did.
It was at this very moment that i realised the responsibilities that i had and still have towards my children, though they are adults now.
Fantastic moments .
Moments of Joy , moments of self pride , moments of great hopes for them.

Hehe, no doubt! Anyway, my daughter has re-awakened my love for things girly, because I can be girly at times, and she's helped me to understand a lot about myself and about the world. She's reminded me that it's okay to be a big kid and to goof around, and most importantly she's taught me patience...because as soon as I started answering this question, she came over to me and decided to sit in my lap and then proceeded to ask me to help her dress one of her dolls...which took a little while.... :)

They have given me my greatest joy and caused me my deepest sorrow. They have made me smile the biggest and cry the most tears. They have, most of all, given me immortality!
