I am getting repeating DTCs, P0172 mainly, about right bank too rich.
I seems to happen right after I get a strange high gear shift.
Can't tell exactly what is happening, but it feels like it is shifting from OD to 4th and back within 1 sec. Then the chk light and traction control light come on. The DTCs don't seem to relate to anything. But then that studder could be the engine.

Does this sound like a tranny issue? Mine is nearing 107,000 mi which is suppose to be the cutoff for Honda fixing a tranny issue.

a po172 has nothing to do with a tranny but might cause it to act funny because the engine is not running right...u need to have it looked at a po172 is a rich code meaning that the engine is running rich...now u said that the traction control light comes on...the main thing thats jumping out at me is the egr valve sticking.....it can cause that code and send your tranny in a uproar...i wish i had a buck for ever egr valve i have replaced for sticking on the ody's and the pilots!

Honda may still replace it at 107,000 miles. Take it to the dealer and let them decide. This tranny issue seems to be hurting the Odyssey resale value a little. 1999-2000 Odyssey are pretty much going for what a 1997-1998 4 cylinder Odyssey in good condition are going for.
