Are you close? What does mothers day mean for you?

My Mother has passed but I love her more than anything, she was my rock, and still is because she is with me always. Mothers Day is the one day of the year to honor Mothers for all they do. But I honored and respected my Mom every day I had her.

Yes, I love my mother so much with all of my heart. My mother and I are not really close no more or relationship went down hill. She knows how to push my buttons to the point where I disrespect her, but I don't mean too and when I do I feel bad. I want to say "Sorry" but I don't. I just let things cool down but it takes days. She tunes me out and smokes them damn cig's of hers and acts like I'm not there. My mother is sick with bipolar and i know that, but it's hard for me to deal with her illness. I know it's not her when she saids all of them mean things to mean I know it's the voices. But i still love my mother so much. No matter what happens I'll still be there for my mother. She is the greatest mother in the world. She is always there for me even though we have our disargreements. Thats is why I take a time out to show my mother what she means to me on Mother's Day. Show her that I still love her and it's her day. Show her that Mother's Day means a day where I appreciate all the good and bad things she has done for me because if it wasn't for her I would be her today and I would be the young lady I am right now. And the love she has given me.

No. No. Sadness that I didn't have a mother who understood the dynamics of an abusive marriage I was in and sided with the abuser.
Not everyone has a good mother and for those that don't I found this on an Oprah site:

I love my mom so much i cant even put it into words. She is my rock, my angel....my best friend. Her and i are very close and i love her. Even if we do bump heads once and a while I still love her and i know that she will always love me. Mother's Day means a day to apprecitate our mothers and the things that they do for us and to be thankful for what we have. I love you mom....and have a happy mother's day!! =)

Of course I do!! I love my mom with all my heart. Mothers day is just a day that you show your mom extra love and care. Even though on other days, I still show her I love her and appreciate her!

I don't have a mom...I think mother's day is horrible b/c it is for all mothers...which means it equates women who abuse, kill, rape or neglect their children with truly wonderful mothers...
I think if you have a great mother you should celebrate her on her b-day and maybe everyday and not do it cause you are told to on a certain day - that is a meaningless way to show appreciation

She my best friend, and mother's day means I get to show all of my love to her. But there's too much love to show. My mother is my best friend, and I love her with my life.

Yes of course i love my mother she is the best thing that had happen to me because with out her i will not be here today i really do appericate everything that my mother had done for me she really do means the world to me she is like my best friend because we talk about everything together i just love my mother somuch. and how about you girl are you really close to your mother like I'm really close to mines?
