Is the pattern of corruption steadily increasing and destroying yet another part of our heritage which we once valued?

It has taught me to research companies much more, and do the same background checks that they would do if I were going to apply for a job with them. What most people want to know is public record, and never knew that they had the right to access it. It is still buyer beware, and if you don't want to subscribe to a news print or business journal, at least watch BBC for news and information, and look the companies up on the internet. If there's something wrong, SOMEONE has posted it somewhere, and you can read it and make your own decisions!

The Enron mess does not shake my faith. There are crooks in all facets of the world. Enron didn't make me nearly as mad as WorldCom. I lost a ton of money in my retirement account because of those crooks at WorldCom. I was cheering for Bernie Evers to get the death penalty. I don't remember how much time he got in prison but I thought he should have been beheaded on TV. (I'm just a nice lady from Missouri!)
