I am doing a report and I was goingg to Use Osama as the example. What made him want to attack the United States?
I know it was either his belief in Allah telling him or the Koran/Qur'an saying that we were bad people and did bad things in their past.

Guys, my paper isn't about him. It is about atheism (no offense to anyone religious), but I was doing an example of a god communicating with someone and I wanted to use Osama as the example.

my oh my, the blame, one sided devisivness.
Osama, (not that I have much objective information to go on) is a right wing religious extremist. He hates anything sinful, ie gays, premarital sex and all those other things that the judeo christian muslims hate. Same things the christians hate. Osama and Falwell will sit outside an abortion clinic together and shoot the people going in for abortions.
In indonesia, religious extremists will march on a Transvestite club and attack them. This is the religious group that he belongs to. Or so they would have us believe. Seems believable.
US has always been involved in the Mid East and other locales. Afgahnistan has two major interests to the United States.
1. There was an oil pipeline through the country. It's a wild land ruled by many smaller warlords who control 'gangs.' So this pipeline is often in jeopardy. We used to pay the warlords to protect it. But what they do is, when they want more money they attack the pipeline and demand more money to protect it. This gets on the nerves of the oil companies.
2. 2nd interest in Afgahn is poppies, heroin. Drug war poppies are bad, easy to understand.
The CIA was starting a revolution in Afgahnistan. The taliban knew this. They dealt with Osama and Al Qaeda to stop this US backed revolution. Al Qaeda's purpose is to protect Arab people from westerners and whitemen stretching back to Saladin.
So one claim is that they knew they could not just kill the CIA currently in Afgahnistan because the US would simply send more and give them more support. So they had to make a dramatic move. By causing massive destruction in thier homeland, Osama figures 1 of 2 things may happen.
1. you hope that exposing what the CIA was doing and making them responsible for it. Osama says "See what your meddling does, you're responsible for this." Hope to get the CIA to back off. The same day they attacked the WTC they killed the leader of the US backed revolution.
2. It is a statement that says you are not untouchable. We in the US think we are superior. We can kill thousands in mozambique, Sudan, and so on. Thinking we are safe across the ocean. Thinking we are morally superior. The death and horror that our military has commited for 100 years with 12 million dead not counting the world wars.
They generally don't like us anyway and likely preparing thier attacks ahead of time but so do you. We have plans for Iran, hell we got plans for saudi arabia. US is a racist imperial nation. That's really really true. Few Americans will be able to look through thier side, few have a world perspective. You are still very much divided. This side and that side, nations full of enemies.
Osama is a criminal yes, so is dick cheney, John McCain, Bush i think is too stupid. He really believes like you believe that they are evil enemies. Many different people get caught up fighting for thier side. Arguments and reasons for why you should go get em are limitless. Many people on both sides don't care about the reasons, they're just waiting for an excuse.
saying he's crazy and wants to kill everyone is a silly exxageration. He thinks you are bad in the same way christian priests say you're bad. But Osama will act violently against the bad sinners. He also feels he is protecting his people, spiritually from your decadence and physically from your military.
Imagine if you played chess against someone, if you thought they were stupid and moving randomly then you will never see the trap. If they really do have some strategy you will be blind because you underestimate them. So i find all this villainization to be not only silly, i see it as dangerous that our generals and analysts are unwilling to see what's happening in order to cling to war propaganda.

There was much more than meets the eyes there and unfortunately this is not the forum to discuss it in... and without prejudice against any one individual or another, and with all due respect, and if I wish to keep this account and not lose it like I did my other one!!! which no matter how I try, can't seem to be able to get back!!! Sorry! You'll have to do your own homework on this one!
EDIT
MegaMario! If I knew exactly what it is that you seek to find, it would be easier to be more specific... What is it that you are trying to prove? About him or as the main point of your paper??? Is it about atheists per say??? As he is not one!!! So I don't like to play guessing games... and once I understand what it is that you are truly in need of, then I might be able to assist! you more!!! Until then... you have gotten quite a bit of details on his person... Why did he attack America??? I don't think that it was as personal as most think it is! And if I knew you more, I'd give you sights that would make your hairs on your neck stick out!!! as the real truths of things often do in this world of utmost lack of what they call freedom of speech! as those who speak the depth of it are often eliminated one way or another!!! Unless of course, they have some kind of "protection" at their disposal!!!

Some people say he was miffed that Saudi Arabia and some other Arabs brought the US in to fight Saddam over his Kurd invasion instead of using Osama.
That miffed him badly. He viewed himself as the Islamic and Arab savior leading an army of Muslim soliders.
To have American brought into the picture was a personal offront to him and he started his attack by bombing a navy ship in the sea.

well, Osama was a millionair , he was living wonderful life , and once he turned to be a "terrorist" , is that normal thing?
or what makes it able to leave that life and live in mountains ?
ok , let me answer you , the holy Qur'an doesn't say that muslems got to kill other people who are not muslims , but on contrary , Qur'an gurantee the safty of christians or jews who lives in muslims countries ,
but ......
it order muslims to fight other people who fight them in their land ,
so , if U.S. fights Afganestan , Iraq or any muslims country , all muslims got to fight it ,
but before american occupation of Iraq & afganistan , why did Osama fighted it ? cuz it support Israel againest the palestinan people , so , it support our enemy , so it is our enemy , and we got to fight U.S. , but the thing that Osama & his followers forgot -or ignor- is that killing our enemys civlis is forbidden , we just fight the fighters -soldiers- of our enemy , but thier people , we shouldn't fight them ,
is that enough ?
