A gratuity (means 'gift') usually means a tip. If you're in a job that traditionally involves tips, figure 15 - 20%. If you're expected to kick back some of your tips to the head waiter, manager, local mafiosi or the minister, you can deduct that amount only if you report to whom you paid the kickbacks and provide them with a 1099 tax form.

Fancy word for a tip....usually 10 to 25% depending on what it's for.
