I consider Sir Donald Bradman as the greatest batsman ever in the history of cricket as no batsman has been able to match his average till now though many have surpassed his record for number of centuries and runs scored in Test Cricket.

This is indeed a difficult question, but Sir Donald Bradman, Sir Garfield Sobers, Sir Vivian Richards and Sachin Tendulkar would be eager contenders and one would certainly have to favourably consider Sunil Gavaskar, Sir Jack Hobbs and Shane Warne.

Undoubtedly its Sir Don Bradman. The quality of bowling at that period of time and also that the players did not have much protection on their body ,to come up victorious in that era and to maintain a average that he had is just mind blowing.
