I Believe honesty is generally the best policy, however there are times where it is impossible not to lie (having to tell a friend family member some bad medical news for example) although they will know what you are trying to say if you are genuinely honest.

The majority of the time, I believe that honesty is the best policy. I think that there are times when to tell the truth would accomplish nothing positive but would cause harm, and in those cases I waiver a bit.
