~~~ It's okay. You ought to say what you mean all the time, and don't be embarrassed about it.~~~
I think its good to praise face to face.........(depending on the case)..i believe everyone needs a little heads up that there is someone who believes in them, it gives you more confidence, and the ability to perform at your best. Ex. atheletes need praising from their fans and coaches and then you will see an improvement in their work, children need praising in school etc etc
It's a proven philosophy that when you praise someone, you have to praise him in person, preferably in front of others. Or your praise doesn't work. On the flip side, you should criticize someone in private.
I think it is good. We need diplomacy, simplicity. We have to and have the right to tell the truth and whatever comes from our heart. But not everyone is capable of telling the truth and not everyone is ready to hear it. I advice you to try be honest and speak your mind and heart even if you think you will lose a friend. At the end go alone from this wold non of your friends will come with you or anyone else.
It is good. Generally good.
But if you do it without a sincere heart, then it's not good. Or maybe the guy being praised becomes proud, then it's not good anymore.
I see nothing wrong with well deserved praise as long as the recipient doesn't become arrogant over it.
As a general rule, I think it's good to offer praise first-hand. If you attempt to offer it second- (or more-) hand, it may not reach its intended destination.
I don't praise people.
If you need attention or praise, you find it difficult to get along with me. My view, is do what you do because it is what you want or choose. If you do it because you have expectations of me, you will likely be disappointed.
