My iPod keeps showing the charged icon even when it's not connected to anything.?

It's wasting battery when I put it to sleep mode. I've already tried reseting it like 20 times! The damn charged icon thing won't go away.

Your Ipod might be frozen. Try connecting it to the computer again and wait a while.

Try letting the battery die fully, wait about an hour, then plug it back in.
