I would say he is. He is going to break most major passing records this year ( dan marino never won a super bowl so he is out) Joe Montana had a great supporting cast. i mean he had Rice to throw too. Favre is the only 3 time MVP winner. He had minimal talent around him on offense ( Stearling Sharp was good but only had him for a few years. look what happend to Freeman when he left Greenbay.) He has not missed a game since 92. Favre is the Best QB in my opinion.
1 Favre
2 Montana
3 Marino.
4 Elway

Probably at the time he retires and if/when he beats some of Marino's records. But I can't say it now
He's the most durable and one of the toughest ever, there are no questions about it.
Only 1 losing season in 15 years as the starter.
Never had a HOF wideout like Montana had Rice or a great RB support (except for Ahman Green a couple of seasons).
For some people he will be the best ever, for most experts he will be a top 5 (with Montana, Marino, Elway and Unitas).

Comparing QB's across eras is difficult because of how different the expectations are across eras. How can you compare Bart Starr or Johnny Unitas who played in a time where they had to call all of their own plays against rules that favored the defense to Peyton Manning or Tom Brady that have coaches calling in plays to their helmets as they are lined up at the line of scrimmage and play against rules that make it so they can't be hit?
Brett Favre's streak is the best ever, his competitiveness is second to none and his physical skills are second to none. His stats have been plagued by a lack of consistent surrounding talent and his own stupid decisions. So while he's not "the best ever" he's the best at certain things, just like Marino, Elway, Manning, etc are the best at certain things.

SEEJAY is a fan of either the Vikings Bears or Lions because to say hes not in the top 100...
Anyways Brett is a great QB and I love to watch him play.
The top QB's are Montana,Elway,Morino,Favre,Brady (Brady's up there because of hardware I HATE THE PATS but you have to respect what Brady was able to do)not in order. He's not the best but he still is a HOF and a great QB

He is one of the best, but that's what debates are about. You take facts and opinions, match them up, and try to see who has the best answer. Dan Marino holds most all-time records. Peyton Manning hold many single season records. Hall of Famers were in a different era, and may have performed to a higher level with today's systems. You can go by how clutch a player is, such as Tom Brady, Joe Montana, or Bart Starr. Or even base it on how many Super Bowl's they won, such as Montana again with 4, Terry Bradshaw with 4, or Troy Aikman and Tom Brady each with 3. In my honest opinion, I'd say that Dan Marino is, but again, that is up for debate.

No cause him continuing to play on a bad team needing to rebuild for the future after Favre has damaged his legacy, much like how Jerry Rice's legacy has been damaged for not knowing when to leave the game behind.

Well not the best ever but that is definately up for debate. However he deserves to be in the conversation. I think he breaks the career TD record and maybe the passing yardage and he has three consecutive MVPs so he belongs in the conversation for sure. I just doubt that he will be considered the best of all time.
However he has one of the best personalities and is very determined and gutty. Call him what you want but he was and is fun to watch and a massive competitor whom is a fan favorite

he is one of the best QB of all time but not the best. I think he was the greatest QB in his decade, and he was. He is the Ironman, he is the Cal Ripken Jr. of football and no one could take hits like Favre did.
