Both the Democrats and the Bush Adm. intend to maintain troops in Iraq indefinitely.. You don't gain title to your neighbors house just because you blew it up. We definitely broke Iraq, but that only gives us the burden of sin. It does not entitle us to the Country. We need to get out of Iraq now. This folly has already cost us 3300 American lives, $500 Billion in tax money, 30.000 thousand wounded and there is no light at the end of the tunnel. Some Military people are saying we would have to stay there another 10 years... Your thoughts ??

John, the first answerer, is the typical brainwashed idiot that gets his "news" from Fox. It is a thinker that can change his mind when new information is found out. A loser is the one who stays put when new data is found out. (Cut and run, lame-*** marketing phrase of the criminals that want us to stay there so that Haliburton and the no bid contractors can keep rakin it in!) Use your brain-LOSER. (That comment goes to every other brainwashed person who cannot think for themselves.)
K, back to the question. Yes we were lied to, we are still being lied to. Period. The Dem's do not have enough votes to override that prick president of ours veto of the latest attempts at getting a timetable to GET OUT OF THE MESS THE REPUBLICANS CREATED!
We are there for money and power to the corporatists. The Project For a New American Century is a group of the current criminals hangin around Bush that preplanned what is now going on. Some of this was discussed back in the 90s. Good job you criminal ***********!

There is so much we don't know-but what we do know is that America does not belong in Iraq-we never should have invaded that Country-look if we had used the funds to develop our own oil supply instead of this war-we would be better off-certainly not depending on the Iraqi oil. We have the means to do this. If Iraq had no oil we would not be there today. We cannot police the world-when will we learn? Our men and woman are being slaughtered and truly FOR WHAT? How many more lives will it take? Wake up AMERICA-This is not our war-Usually I'm very optimistic about certain things but this war cannot be won using the current methods-the world should be more involved, not mostly Americans. It's our sons and daughters blood being spilled.

Good morning.....Bush and his cabinet are the ones responsible for the lies and the distrust it has laid upon us Americans. Not primarily the democrats. The democrats wanted Bush to bring our troops home but unfortunately Bush vetoed that bill which he said he would do. Figures! Cheney and Bush are both at fault here not too mention others in the cabinet. Look at all the scandals that are happening right now inside and outside of the WH. It's pathetic and ridiculous! Our country use to be a great nation until this bunch started their lies. No wonder other countries have ill feelings towards us Americans and our country. I wonder what our Forefathers are thinking about all this. They are probably rolling in their graves in disgust and shame. Have a great day!

I consider that the intent we're nonetheless there may be the amazing Bush vanity. He is feeling his vigour and desires to exhibit his authority. Why name himself "the decider" or else? At this factor, Iraq is inconsequential and it's effectively a scan of wills among Bush and the Congress. He does no longer deliver a dang what the American individuals wish. They have it seems that spoken that this struggle was once a big mistake. To maintain on a monitor that's it seems that failing isn't persistance....it's being cussed and rigid. This guy is out of contact with fact and he demands impeachment. He does no longer have the center or the grace to mention he made a big mistake so increasingly will die till he leaves workplace and any individual else can repair this mess and get our army out of damage's approach. The damages Bush has performed to this nation can be felt for a long time.

this will turn into another vietnam then my thoughts are on something i will probably never see an iraqi army transformed into a peacekeeping force which will be accompanied by peacekeepers from the entire middleast including israel but an israel where palestinians can have israeli citizenship as well as palestinian citizenship and israelis can have palstinian citizenship as well as their own and they would vote in eachother's elections this would be a new state where israel and palestine could exist at the same time not a truncated israel this country would be called israel-palastine and peacekeepers from it would join the others so if this is acceptable this force could take over duties in iraq i realise this is as likely as the u.s. winning the current war in iraq but it is a thought or has something of the sort already happened

Bush has NOT TOLD THE TRUTH to the gullible American people for 6 years... why would he start now?

My Question to ask the drooling born again conservatives is: WHAT IS THERE TO WIN? There is NOTHING LEFT for America to get out of Iraq... other than American Troops... THERE IS NOTHING TO WIN... PERIOD...

Why do the Conservatives and NeoCons ignore the FACT that the original REASON for INVADING A PEACEFUL FOREIGN COUNTRY has already been satisfied... SO WHY ARE WE STILL THERE... other than Bush's arrogance and American Imperialism.

l want troop withdrawal yesterday, Democrats want out as well. Actually most Americans want out now. We were all lied to plain and simple, but there's nothing simple about this war.

I remember when we first went into Iraq, our government had one of Saddam Husain's mistress's, in custody (she was thoroughly checked out) and she said that Saddam told her right after Bush got elected, he would finish is father's war. How scary is that. I don't know about finishing it, but he sure destroyed many innocent lives.

Absolutely
If we didn't invade right away the UN would have lifted the sanctions and oil would have fallen to around $18 a barrel. Both Chevron and Exxon would have been in the red.

The bigger sin would be to pull out and leave Iraq to its own devices. Cutting and running would cause a lot of innocent Iraqis to suffer unnecessarily.

Are presidential lies good enough reason to send your sons and daughters to die in Iraq? If you people cant see the crimes being committed in your names, then you deserve every damned thing you get.
