i have a new tetra tank its the new siliver one and my light anit working i put it on the other day and it popped well i think so i have changed the light and sill not working i changed the amp still anit working i have looked to see if it has tripped oat out and it anit it is also got a case covering the light PLZ HELP AS I LIKE THE LIGHT ON AT NITE

Did you get any kind of warranty or information booklet when you purchased this item? If so, i would look into sections of the pamphlets to see if you can find any advice on what to do if your situation occured. If not, i would try to contact the store i bought it from, see if they can offer some helpful advice on what the issue may be. Best of luck to you and i hope you can resolve your issue fast! i would phone up the shop you bought it from and see what they say you should have a years guarantee on the tank,and if you have had it under a year they should be able to sort it.
fish don't necessarily need a light i have a marine and tropical tank and i use the natural sunlight through the Windows as much as possible for light.my plec does not like the light on at night he darts from one end of the tank to the other until i switch it off.

Is it a light bulb or a tube?? Did you try changing the fuse in the plug, if it 'popped' the fuse may have gone. Put in 3 amp one, check that all connections and the lampholders are secure.
