It's called cradle cap, and is a sign of rapid cell growth. It's 100% normal.
To treat it, rub a little olive oil into her scalp to help comb out the flakes.
This will pass in time.

It is cradle cap and the best way to take care of it is to put unsented baby oil on the head( only a little) and comb gently, then wash and you may need to do it a few times. It can go away on its own without any problems, but if it bugs you than just use baby oil.
Do not use dandruff shampoo like head and shoulders. The tingle that you feel when you use it is a stinging and burning sensation to a baby. Good luck.
All three of my daughters had it and I leave it alone and it doesn't hurt them at all, all I do is when they would take a bath I would gently comb their hair and after alittle while it was gone. Gentle naturals for cradle cap stinks really, really bad and absorbs into their skin, which makes the skin smell nasty right along with the hair. Been there tried that.

My daughter had this too...cradle cap. My doctor said to use oil too but that was just a mess and I was so afraid it would get into her eyes. I found the best thing I did was when you have her in the bath add a little bit of water and soap to her hair and then take her baby brush...the soft bristle...and gently rub her head. It took awhile but the cradle cap came off. After that I didn't really "wash" her hair. I just ran a clean wet cloth over it. Hope this helps

It sounds like cradle cap. My kids never really had it but I have heard that when your bathing the baby to take your fingers and rub the head and try to scrap the flakes off. Also putting baby oil can sometimes help. Maybe change what your washing your babys head with. I think Aveeno has baby products. This will pass just be patient. Good Luck!

Baby oil is what you need to use, just rub a little bit of baby oil on her head after her bath Every night. That way it will soften up the dry skin while she is sleeping. Do not worry so much, it is very normal for babies to have dry scalp. while supporting her neck and head and titling it a bit, take a small bucket of water and pour it on gently. That way the water will go to the back of her head and not her eyes and you will get all the soap out.

it sounds like cradle cap, use a moisturising shampoo. Support the baby's back as you gently tip the to a 90 degree angle and get a cup and pore the water over the baby's head.

it sounds like cradle cap. I always used head and shoulders to clear it up and it only takes like 2 or 3 treatments. As for bathing I always preferred this sponge that you laid on the bottom of the tub that you lay the baby flat on and just go at it. The non slip stuff and the sponge kept baby from floating away and I wasn't panicing about the baby falling out. GL
