to the person who said i spelt "weird" wrong
THAT WAS A TYPING ERROR.
i'm going to study maths at a top uni and i have good grades so calling me a retard is unjustified.

You're supposed to feel whatever you're feeling. Some people feel sad, some feel scared and some are elated. You're getting to move on to a new time in your life when you're in control. Some people are sad to see their friends scattered all over. Some people are afraid to have so much responsibility. And some people can hardly wait to dig their teeth into life. If you're the latter...good for you!

Everyone has different feelings about last day of school. Most I know were excited. I dont' remember any of them being sad.

Now over the years, looking back I would have been SAD to leave, it's the best time of your life.

Just be glad that you'll be away from the kids, and worrying about how you are suppose to BE. Don't worry if everyone thinks you are weird for being happy to be out of school.

In the adult world, MOST of this crap is gone. no more worrying about having everyone like you, no more worrying what others think of you, etc.

I was SO glad to get away from the drama crap...

You are not weird. I felt the same way. While some of my friends were sad about school ending, I was not. I was ready to move ahead in life. You will find that sometimes the cheerleaders, football star, basketball star, etc will remember high school as the best years of their lives. Reason? Everyone looked up to them, they were popular. Then when real life sets in, they are just part of the crowd. Wish everyone well, even the kids that you don't like. Then go back to your 10 year reunion. See how everyone turned out. You may be really surprised!!! I was!

No, you do not need to feel badly. You are moving on to the next level. You should feel proud! The people you want to stay in contact with you will. Just because your life is about to change does not mean you have to feel sad about the situation.

It's a big mish-mosh of feelings. At any given moment you will feel sad, anxious, nervous, excited, thrilled.

It is very normal to feel a variety of things as you close out any chapter of your life. I suspect if you haven't felt anything other than excitement, you soon will.

Congratulations on graduation!

No, some people are different. I wasn't sad, I couldn't wait to get out of high school and to this day I am still happy to be out.
