Some women will do anything to get back at you. It is just her way of trying to upset you. Don't let it. Just laugh at her and move on.

She's estranged and lives over 1,000 miles away? Sounds like she is either insane or trying to control you still. There are a couple of things you can do. Tell your lawyer to get it removed because it is unneccesary. Or get a counter-restraining order on her. The latter is ridiculous but legal. Get her's removed and write her a letter telling her you are over her childish behavior, thus why you want the divorce since she left you [insert reason why she left you here] and tell her it is over and you want nothing to do with her.

Well, I don't know where you live, but in the state of Washington, a temporary restraining order is automatically done for protection just in case, once one files for divorce!

A restraining order is meaningless if you don't ever go and see her, ignore it and continue with the divorce process. It sounds like she is a vindictive person and will do what ever it takes to annoy you. I bet if you don't let it bother you it will drive her nuts!

That may be her way of getting some closure to make sure she doesn't have to deal with you anymore but you never know whats going on in the mind of a woman. Maybe write her a letter asking or an email.

If your facts are true & you've given us all pertinent information, it doesn't make sense, does it? You don't mention children, and since you haven't seen her for 7 yrs., you haven't been negligent about child support or seeing your children, I hope? But if she doesn't affect your life, I wouldn't worry about it. Just get the divorce.

she is just offended cuz you want to divorce her. Let her be childish. Let her do whatever she wants. She will be out of your life soon enough.

She's angry and that is the only thing she could do to get at you. Vindictive??
