No, but I would advise him to turn himself in and go with him (as their attorney) when he did so. I'm not big on ratting people out, and in most jurisdictions, you are under no obligation to turn someone in or report a crime. It's only illegal if you actively harbor a known fugitive. On another note, however, if my best friend committed a crime against a child (like molestation or child abuse), I would turn him in quicker than you can blink.

It depends on what the crime was. If they brought the crime to my house, I definitely wouldn't have a choice, but to call the cops. At no point in time will I ever be charged as an accomplice, therefore, don't ask don't tell.

It depends what the crime was. If they stole something I would tell them they're a loser and to own up or something like that. If it was more serious, like rape or murder, I most definitely would call the police.

you will be comitting a crimeif you dont and YOU can go to jail by not telling. you get into less trouble by telling the truth. if its a pretty serious crime, then i probably would.

Yes, because if a witnessed the crime, and did not report it, I would be charged and arrested for not reporting the crime.

Depends on the crime. If they started murdering people or something then yeah, probably.

i still would have to call the cops because he/she would most probably be caught anyway..so why not face reality ..and not live in a dream world...I think he/she would thank me one day...when they realise that it was for their own gd..it would be hard for me to do call the cops but i noe it would help my friend so i would HAVE to...

Absolutely! They should know better? How else will they learn their lesson? Two wrongs don't even come close to a right.. (paraphrase mine)
But my friends aren't criminals.
