Beethoven, who died in 1827, was exhumed the first time in 1863, then reburied in a more secure casket inside a brick vault. On June 22, 1888 he was exhumed again from the Währinger Cemetery, measured and moved to the Central Cemetery in Vienna, Austria.

Poor dude. They just wouldn't let him rest in peace. They kept carting him around to other cemetaries. Who knows why.
