PSP malfunction questions?

Help... my psp version is 1.50
i lend it to a friend of mine and he told me he toggled with the system settings and now... the select button and the sound "-", "+" cannot be pressed. When i press it, it doesn't react.

And also, upon the configuration of name page. I can't type in the name as the characters jumps around. Anyone have a similar problem as mine or knows how to solve this problem?

It could just be dirty buttons. You might want to try taking it about and cleaning out the dirt and dust. Try here for some info http://www.llamma.com/PSP/PSP%20Repair%20Information.htm
