How to play:

Each time you click a box, a number appears on it or in the surrounding boxes. These numbers indicate how many mines are in contact with it. Using these numbers, you can determine which boxes are mines and which are not. Also, when you are 100% sure that a box is a mine, flag it by right clicking on it. So, it is possible to beat mine sweeper. I've beat it quite a few times, even on expert. ;)

Yes, it is possible to win. You have to use logic to determine which squares contain a mine. Knowing how to play is obviously necessary...

There are certain rare patterns which can arise that are not possible to solve without guessing, however.
