Fantastic film which deserved to win the Oscar over Shakespeare in Love. Although I've never been in battle, the few people I know who have claim it was the most real depiction of battle they had seen. It has aged very well. 10 years old and it is just as rivoting today as it was when it was released.

why do we need to have views on this movie? was it controversial in some way? it was a historical and memorial to the heros who died fighting a war.
