Im getting low MPG and heard that this part could be cleaned with Carb, choke and throttle body cleaner, and will help with mileage. A link to a picture or a how to or just a general location of where its at would be helpful.

Well the best thing you can do is go to a parts store and purchase a bottle of :sea foam: that is the name of this product pour this into your gas tank then take you car and really drive it on the highway and around town this should help you out i use it and it works great. The EGR valve on the 2000 honda civic is located on the back side of the engine but I would not bother removing it.

EGR valves are commonly found on the intake manifold...you'll have to buy a new gasket at a parts store if you remove the valve to clean it. Could be replaced under warranty yet. Pic here:
