Absoutly not the same transmisson fluid has a lower viscosity vs hydrauic fluid and the tempature rating is diffrent as well these are not compatible.

Transmission fluid is a type of hydraulic fluid. Hydraulic fluid is a general term, there are hundreds of different types.

NO, Do not put hydraulic fluid in Tran, They look the same but meant for different Things.

No! They are differant and many ways from viscosity all the way to shelf life and material protection. In some cases you can use either or but in most must use the recommend product for your application.
