Usually, when people lose confidence, they lose confidence in a particular activity. Like for example, "I used to dive from the 3-meter board pretty well until I hit my head on it. Now I've lost my confidence in diving from 3-meter boards". This is normal, it's called learned fear, and like suffering from a bad sprain, sometimes it can take a while to recover. Dwelling on the fact you "lost confidence" only makes it worse, so take a break and stop worrying about it. Give yourself a rest as you'd give a sprain a rest, and then get back into it a little at a time.

On the other hand, if you have a generalized "Hey, I've lost all confidence in myself", so that you fear you'll fail at anything once you get out of bed, then you're suffering from an anxiety disorder, and probably has nothing to do with what you did or failed to do, or any lack of your abilities. You just have a free-floating fear for no good reason at all, except that something's gone haywire inside your brain. In severe cases, you might have to see a doctor about this for treatment. Short of actually seeing a doctor, your best bet would be to check the internet for this kind of disorder so that at least you understand your problem. Probably the best drug-free method of dealing with this is through meditation and self-analysis, where you make a practice of relaxing your mind and being more objective whenever you feel one of your anxiety attacks coming up. It's called meta-cognition, when you think about your own thought processes, or your fears in this case. Why are you feeling this way?
