She was doin fine previously. But suddenly she put the auto update on. After some day she is receiving this message. Before installing a genuine copy - if it is actually not genuine - she need to take backup of HUGE DATA which she will have to arrange properly. So she needs to delete this message file. As the message is popping up, it must be stored some where...can anybody help?

Someone must have tried to validate the copy of Windows.
You can't do anything except three things.

1)Use a crack that is available on the Internet.
2)Reinstall the copy of Windows.
3)Get a Genuine copy of Windows.

I would earnestly advise you the third option. A Genuine copy of Windows XP is not so costly and if you are using a fake copy it's like stealing somebody's hardwork.

there are no files associated with that message... at some point, her computer might have been working well after the pirated xp was installed on her computer. now when the computer installed some updates (could be windows updates or she might have upgraded her windows media player), the license number of her xp was validated as "fake".

she is receiving this message because the windows xp she has on her computer is not the "legal" version. the computer will keep warning her to go for the licensed xp.

just make sure she saves all the important files, like her photos, word documents, music, etc first before going for the genuine copy.

you cannot really delete the files associated with that message. Windows XP not genuine means that the copy of XP on her system may be a fake.

It looks like your friend is running a pirated copy of windows. The message is coming from "Windows Genuine Advantage". It can not be deleted. To get rid of this message your friend need to purchase a "Real" copy of Windows.

that means the copy of windows is not genuine and that she is using a pirated copy of window xp. the original copy of win xp costs around Rs 4500 and usually people prefer using pirated cd.
well its pretty normal that this message started coming all of a sudden.Actually ur frnd has Automatic Updates on and micrsoft update has loaded this onto ur system
Now solutions to get rid of this is to format the system and keep automatic updates off or get used to reading this message its not gonna harm ur pc

For me Media center is a entertainment O.S lol..The copy of her O.S is not genuine that's why, I don't know how to delete a certain file to make it disappear but reformatting her computer will do the work, first thing if you wanna do that is to back up all the important files.

You can not remove this message, your copy of window is not genuine, you cannot delete files now, because your freind tried to update it, One thing you can do ignore the messege and keep on or get geniune copy from microsoft website, or get auto patcher from www.autopatcher.com to solve your problem, and never try to update from microsoft
