As romantic as you make the Antebellum South (that is what you were referring to) sound, I don't think I'd go there, not enough action...
I'd go back to the Civil War Era simply because I've done so many reenactments I'd be awesome to see the real thing. Of course, I'd probably mess up the timeline somehow, such is the risk of time travel.
Then as a second option, I would go back to the 1950's so I could go and see some of the original Rock 'n' Roll singers live in concert. I think it would be fantastic to see Buddy Holly, Elvis, etc... before they died. Oh, and I would also have to see Hank Williams.

I love 1700 hundreds Britain. Noblemen, the ton, parties nearly every night. And that wasn't crazy wild--everyone was out til midmorning at these parties. There were so many rules of etiquette to learn--gloves and outfits. And changing clothes about 5 times a day. Having a "coming out" ball. And I love the idea of masquerades.
I love to ride too so I'd love to have riden my horse everywhere.
I particularly love how--since London is a fairly disguesting place--you were only there for the "season" and then you retired to your country estate.
I love the style of clothing then too. Like you the big skirts and corseted tops are a wonderful look.
Thats my favorite time period. Anywhere from late 1600s to 1760 for my lifespan. I guess it's obvious that anyone who answers like us isn't a feminist, but I don't care. I like the idea of society with rules that say I must be innocent and sheltered, and chaperoned.

I would head back toward the medieval times in Scotland and find out exactly out of history what is true and what is not. I have always been fond of the medieval times. Well of course if I could go to two places I would aswell after that head to Feudal Japan and see how it was back then aswell.

I don't think I'd go - I think I may have finally gotten used to all the problems of this era so why would I want to try to get used to all the problems of a different era?
