i have worked for a MNC Bank in UAE for 45 days as a relationship manager and was given a 3 year resident Visa on the basis of my employment.
After 40 days i resigned from my office, and due to suspicious behavior of the HR Officer, after another couple of days i decided to rush back to my country(india) before he could unnecessarily delay my return.
Since the Dubai,UAE visa on my passport is not cancelled, can i still travel to UAE and get a UAE Visit Visa?
Also, what implications are for travelling to Gulf areas for employment in future?

Expatriate employees who leave the country without cancelling their sponsorship and residence visa are liable to get a one-year ban from the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. Once the ban is imposed they will not be able to get any visa during the ban period. They should therefore cancel their sponsorship and residence visa before leaving the country in order to avoid such problems.

You have to mail your passport to your forme sponsor for visa cancellation. Be aware that you will receive a ban, coz you did not fulfill your contract.

Employees who get a one-year ban from the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs can obtain a visit visa or transit visa during the ban period. However, if the Department of Immigration imposes the ban, no visa can be obtained. You should therefore check the source of the ban and apply for the visa accordingly.

Take care.

I am not sure the date of your last departure from Dubai. If it is not exceeding six months, you can enter to Dubai on the existing visa. Otherwise you cannot able to go back until you get cancelled the existing visa PHYSICALLY , whether it is valid or not.

So, I would suggest you to go back in order to complete the cancellation formalities, if the period is less than six months that you are staying outside Dubai. Since you have not been completed even the probationary period (normally three months) no ban will be imposed at the time of visa cancellation. As per the Labour law you have to compensate the visa related expenses to the employer.

If you have been staying more than six months outside Dubai, then send your passport to the bank through a reliable agent. They can complete the cancellation procedures on the same day. But remember you will get one year ban for UAE on work visa from the date of cancellation (not from the date of your last departure).

Answer to your other question, you can travel to other Gulf countries and find out a job. There is no restriction for that.

Try your best, good luck.

The Visa cancellation is depend on the company you are working with... try to get hold of your PRO, he will be able to help you... uusally it doesn't take more then a 2 to 3 days. once the visa is cancelled you have 30 days to leave the country... so my best suggestion is to get a visa approval first from a new company before you cancel the visa. All the best.
