I meant to ask, which religion they follow? which church do they and you belong to?

Have you ever questioned, really questioned their faith?

My parents were (they're still alive however) Missouri synod Lutheran, but they had the odd idea of allowing us children to think for ourselves and they taught us that all animals have souls (not kidding, both them and my paternal granparents).

I tried to fit in, no succeeding very well (silly me thinking for myself) but just before I went to Confirmation classes the church lost the relaxed pastor we had and we picked up a right-wing hardliner. Him and I clashed head on right away. He told me animals had no souls and I called him a liar. I hated him and he called me a spawn of Satan.

Right now I'm an ecceltic Pagan and my Parents accept that. They haven't been to church in 30 years either. The pastor and the politics finally got to them and they left (being able to think for themselves.)

Gee, religion and thinking seem not to go together...wonder why that is? No offense anyone.

Both of my parents were catholic. I still identify myself as catholic but I hardly ever attend a religious ceremony (just special occasions).
I have to say that I don't really share the same views as them when it comes to religion.

My dad is a Methodist minister. I was Methodist (even in seminary), but I left it in my early 20s. I'm now an atheist and I study Buddhism.
