First, nothing takes away FAT in any one area, you can't choose.

Get your heartrate up (Dance! Walk! Do the hula! Anything that gets your heart up.) This burns FAT. Your BODY chooses where to take it off.

Now, sit ups will TONE the muscle under that fat. See? So if you do a thousand sit ups, other than the calories burnt, it won't take off the fat. It will TONE the MUSCLE under the fat. It may make the fat less jiggly but not take away the fat itself.

Anyone who tells you any different, doesn't know what they are saying.

So, do both. Do cardio to lose the fat. Do sit ups to tone the muscles.

Keep away from alcohol (espeically beer), sugar and salt and white flour and fried foods.

That's all.

I am almost 50, lost my butt, put it on around the belly. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and Psoriasis, so went to Pilates. It was for me due to the above conditions grueling, but I attended once a week for nine months, lost weight and I no longer have any pudge. See if their is a local Pilates Class in the area and enjoy.
