Duncan Fletcher had probably run his "shelf life" as a coach, and acepted his part of England's persistent failure. However, surely as "Chairman of Selectors", the man who's sole responsibility is the make-up of the England squad, has to shoulder a huge part of the blame.

If the same scenario was applied to the football team, Graveny would be the manager, Fletcher would have been the coach. We never hear the fans calling for the FA coaches to be sacked, do we? A coach should be just that. Someone who improves ability and techniques. A selector is exactly that. Surely it's time for a change there?

you could not be more right, it is a discrace that graveney is still in his job, when you look at the state of English cricket he must put his hands up and admit that it is his fault as much as any ones and he should have resigned

Well said. We need fresh blood all the way to the top. Pity all of the best candidates work for Sky Sports.
