Matter of factly speaking, Yes i do agree!
I kno for a fact it is just paper but with an intrinsic value that we have assigned and which forms pretty much the basis of ur modern day living.
But i am also aware that this mere pc of paper does not dictate happiness in my life nor does it guarantee peace of mind nor love.

Money is only paper, but perhaps the heart of this question
is why does society insist on condensing dedicated
contributors to society to a piece of paper.

Money doesn't make the contribution. The contribution makes
the money. Consider donating to a charitable cause. The
money isn't the donation, the means which earned the money
is the donation. For example, if an individual creates a
money printing press and prints out several sheets of
money and donates it to a charitable cause then the
donation made is not backed by significant effort to
earn the money. In other words, when the working individual
donates money it isn't the amount of money which is
significant, it is the amount of work done to earn the
money that is the significant donation. I am not implying
that people with a large mass of wealth can't make
significant donations. Even if the effort involved in the
donation isn't significant, the money itself can still aid
the charitable organization in staffing and resource needs.

Yes. Money is only pieces of Paper. I agree with you -

Still can you and me do without these pieces. No. We require more pieces every day and every moment, because it has no value (that is what every one including me says) still has the value.

Actually the value of these pieces have come down, but not fully. Who is responsible for this ? A mastery.
So these days in order to get more pieces people cheat, steal, and do everything to others and the morality is gone to dogs!

I can write more but it is known to all. - In conclusion I agree/disagree to your statement that money is only pieces of paper-

Yes-indeed! Money and wealth are all temporary materialistic things whicheveryone leaves here when dying, Besides, whatever is in one's destiny one receives from the Lord! Everyone goes all out to earn more and more, not realising that they will receive only that what is in their destiny. Basides, there is money today-which may vanish the next day. It doesnt take much to earn it, nor more time to lose it!Its better one leads a balanced life, and gives some time to the Lord daily instead of running behind money.

Money stops you from trading a ton of corn for a gallon of moonshine.
Money buys your way into the you that is educated. Try it.
Money allows men to make a deal, and not force one to follow. Without money men will war over sardines. With money men war with tanks.
Money makes us worse, or better, depends on how we are. But money is not all that is valuable. 9 ct of perfect pear cut Columbian emerald is worth a million in gold. Flawless diamond is valuable as a gift, to pardon our flaws. Perfect Love can be acknowledged with very small sums of money. It's what you want it to be.

Money is only pieces of paper.

It's people who put some value to it.

Those pieces of paper are worth the cost of paper only + the worth we allocate to the paper.

I wouldn't say that because if gets left in your pants pocket when you wash it doesn't get destroyed like a regular piece of paper. It has to be a special kind of paper.

You are correct. So what is it that gives money it's value? The confidence of the person you're handing it to. Now $3.00 only gets you one gallon of gas. What will it be next year. During WW2 inflation rose so fast in Germany, I have a postage stamp that has a denomination of 5,000,000
