Michael Jordan would win. Michael Jordan in his prime was stronger, faster, smarter and more athletic than Bryant. He knows how to get easier shots and has a better post game than Kobe. Plus he's the better defender. If they were playing a game to 21, this would be the score:

21 - Michael Jordan
13 - Kobe Bryant

I'm sorry but i think this is a stupid question. Michael Jordan will take Kobe Bryant to school in a 1 on 1 game. Jordan is simply better than Kobe. Waaaay better. His Airness will kick Kobe's ***!

If it was now Kobe easily Jordan is too old and slow, but in is prime no doubt he is the greatest ever even better than Kobe, but I think it would be close

Take a look at their game here when MJ was still with the bulls and Kobe was a teen with the Lakers:

it is going to be a very tight contest... maybe when the score is 20-all in a race to 21, it will come down to who makes the better defence, and both are good if not great one-on-one defenders. then, it's going to be the game winning shot. whoever could hit it first will be the wiiner. this is what i see if they played one-on-one. it's going to be a very good show just like an all-star game. showcase of talent at the big stage.

assuming this was played during their prime, then its MJ,but it will be a close game. of courde,if it will be play today then kobe would have the edge since he is still playing competitive basketball and is much younger

Today...Kobe. He is younger. In 1990...Jordan would.
