What does it say on the back of the box ?

FYI - they may have one or more Patents (relating to the game 'operation' ie the 'unique idea' and it's implementation i.e. the specific Rules) and Copyrights / Trademarks (which would cover the 'artistic' elements i.e. game appearance, imagery, icons etc. and the wording on the cards etc.).

You will be able to make use of 'generic' game elements - such as players represented by counters moved around a 'track' using dice to determine movement in a 'turn based' sequence - but not elements that are specifically covered by their Patent/Copyrights...

However Patents and Copyrights (but not Trademarks) will eventually expire ...it is quite an old game (the game it it's current form was Patented in 1935) and the Patents have been the subject of some dispute ... so why not do some research ?
