I've seen some pretty amazing looking transcripts in my time but even the worst of them I'm left with at least a grudging admiration of someone who seems not to be doing well but is at least persevering. Also, at the end of it, unless you are applying to graduate school, the transcript hardly matters, it is having the degree which counts. Tough it out where you are, i.e. the institution you are at, either at home or on your own and get the degree. If you are close you might consider the option of finishing off by distance education, i.e. on-line courses either from your own university or another whose courses it would recognize. Also, if you are very close to finishing and move many universities allow you to take the last few credits at another university and still award you your degree. Have a chat with an academic adviser to explore your options. And good luck, the Yahoo! Answers Nation is pulling for you.

There are the key questions I will be asking when my daughter graduates from high school.
Is it acceptable to your parents to continue living at home?
Do they feel that they are being taken advantage in this situation?
Do they feel they need the financial assistance or can they afford to support you?
Are you able to handle things outside on your own?
If you are staying at home, are you helping out with chores, or are the parents expected to do your laundry and do all of your chores?
Are you paying rent?
What about the house rules, are you willing to follow the rules set down by your parents, or not?
What about having friends over?
What about having dates over?
What about having a date spend the night in your bedroom? Is that acceptable to your parents?
I think those are questions that need to be decided before an answer can be given.

Well, I had to move back in with my parents to go to college. I still have a year left, and I'm 25 years old. Pathetic, huh? I don't know if it's really OKAY, I really hate it, but I do pay them rent. If your parents are okay with it, and you strive to make headway toward your goals, I see nothing wrong with it. Sometimes you've gotta do what you've gotta do.
Wow! You've got 100% best answer. Impressive! lol

Yes, but don't take advantage of them...do what you can to help out. Don't make life hard for them...I work with several older women in this position and their kids are very disrespectful. It's your parents' house, so follow their rules even if you are an adult.

That's between you and your parents. However, I hope you're doing things to help them..like cooking, cleaning up, doing laundry, mowing the lawn, and so on. It's one thing to live with them while you finish college, it's another thing to treat them like they're your personal servants. Oh, and tell them how much you appreciate them..while you show them.

The rule in my house was if you were going to school you pay nothing.
Even if you have a job while in school.
No school? Get a job and pay room and board.
I know someone who didn't know their parents were banking their board money on the sly. When he was moving out they gave it all back to him.
My Mom didn't do that.l

If they don't mind, then I think it is totally fine. If your arent working, they might expect you to help out a bit in other ways. Good way to get your studies done in peace!
Hope they are supportive.

If it's ok with them, then it's ok.I think I would at least try to find a part time job so I could help as much as I could.

yeah, in other countries, kids live with their parents even after college, and it is fine with their parents.
