I dont but know what you mean. My ex was african and Im caucasian. My dad was a bit uneducated and told me if I ever gave him a bi-racial grandchild he would never speak to me again. Anyway 3 yrs later I did just that and my dad done a total backflip. He adores his grandson no matter what and color doesn't matter anymore.

Because people will always have an aversion to things that are different to what they are used to. I have seen this on both sides. Blacks have just as many predujices as whites do even against there own with lighter tones or the level of education, but so do many other cultures. The muslims against christians. Asians against different cultured Asians. So why should it be a problem? If you do not understand fully the culture you are trying to be apart of and the fact you may never be accepted into that culture you will be setting yourself up to get hurt. Just do not always expect to beleive in world peace when the whole world is at war.

I dont think its as big of an issue as it has been, but it still is. Some people are just set in their ways and are bein so old school about it. I am Caucasian, and personally, I would never date anyone of a different race, but if someone else wants to do it its none of my business and I'm not gonna judge them for it. I grew up with a father who was in the Arian Nation so I have heard everything there is to hear about racism. I'm not gonna follow in his shoes, you're with who you want to be with, and that's YOUR choice.

people worry about petty things too much...race, gender, religion, etc should not matter when you love someone. to some people, it's not good enough that you are in love with someone. i think people should stay out of matters that don't concern them. some being in an interracial relationship only bothers them because they dwell on it...but logically, other than the fact that they let it bother them, it has no threatening effect on them whatsoever.

Because they're ignorant. I know because I used to be the same way. It took me a while to realize, people matter, not the color of someones skin or what religion they are or if their tie is on straight or not.

Pure ignorance.... some people still think that we all should just stick to our 'own kind' whatever that means... i am Latina/white my partner is Italian we love each other that's all that matters...it is no body else's buisness but ours....you can't please all of the prople all of the time...not at all even..... just live your life in the way you want to, as long as you are not hurting anyone else.

They are jealous they don't have the courage to date someone taboo. People are just in awe is all. When they get used to it, then it's not so much a big deal to them anymore.
