as long as i've had my period i've never really had problems with bloating. there where time sof course where it would be some but nothing to cuase a fuss over. Well last month a few days befor my period came i didn't realize what itme of the month it was and litterly thought i had gained like 5 to 10 lbs. well i realized it was just bloating but decided to start working out and eating healthier anyways, and the same exact thing happened this month!

so basicly my question is, is there a reason for it being this bad lately? is there any ways to take care of this so i don't feel like i've gained 10 lbs?

The bloating is being caused by the hormones that build up in preparation for our period. They do clear out when the period comes.

One way to ease some of this is by drinking a lot of water. I know that sounds like an unusual thing but I tried this years ago and it really did work. The reason it did is because it was pushing some of that water out of my body. One way other way you can do this is by taking something like Diurex (sold over the counter) to help with this.

Check with your dr first before trying the diuretics to see if it's safe.

the week before and the week during avoid SALT like the plague. And take it easy on sugar. Seriously salt bloats you up. Water pills you can get at the drug store also work well to get rid of the damn water retention.

I would try midol. I use to just take motrin which did help for the cramps but i still always felt huge. I started taking midol and noticed a huge difference plus it helps with cramps as well
